Adding elegance and romantic ambiance to any setting, these drip guards (or "nappies" as they were named in earlier days) protect candleholders and tables from candle wax drips. All bobeches feature my own original designs and are hand-beaded by me personally. Each design begins with a heavy, full cut, German crystal bobeche (30% lead crystal) adorned with suspended German crystal teardrops, octagons, Czech AB crystal firepolish beads and/or other glass beads. The crystal facets and aurora borealis finish on the firepolish beads create a myriad of rainbow colors which is further illuminated with the warm glow from a flickering candle flame.

CRYSTAL BOBECHE (Flat Bottom Bowl Style) Crystal glass bobeche with teardrop and octagon crystal drops and AB crystal firepolish beads. The teardrop crystals hang approximately 2 and 1/2" below the flat bottom section of the bobeche. The scalloped top edge of the bobeche measures approximately 3 and 3/4" in diameter. TIP FOR REMOVING CANDLE WAX: Wait for the wax and the bobeche to cool down to room temperature. Place bobeche in freezer for 10 to 15 minutes. (Do not place in freezer while hot as this could cause cracking of the glass components!) Remove from freezer and gently pry the wax from the bobeche. To pry wax off you may use the edge of your fingernail or a flat, narrow wood stick such as a popsicle stick or manicure stick.
